  • D.F battles.

I'm curious to know about how many battles the Irish defence forces have been in.

Cant seem to find any info. on the subject.

Oh and when I say battles I mean real ones as opposed to pub fights, exercises, and israeli arty rounds land near a UN op.

    Jadotville, leaps to mind
Dr. Venture: Why is it every time I need to get somewhere, we get waylaid by jackassery?

Dr. Venture: Dean, you smell like a whore

I think you might want to ask "I'm curious to know about how many firefights the defence forces have been in"

dont forget the battle of the Portebello

15 bouncers for about 3 different clubs converged and

we beat them like they were red haired foster children

the after action report on that incident led to the Army establishing the

        school of FIDAC

I've heard of FIPAC(Fighting In Pubs And Clubs), even did a few exercises in the South Dublin AO but FIDAC is new to my bagger ears.

I have to say thanks to the old 2 batt for creating the circumstances whereby everytime I go into Tramco with a tight haircut the bouncer asks me "You lads ain't from the barracks are ye?"
