    According to the 2008 DOD/DF Annual Report....

    Patrol days were 1658 days in 2008 so this will mean a 12% decrease!

    Good to see the patrol days being reduced.

    Its a disgrace that the sea going money is subject to the pension levy.

      is duty money the same... give us an example,,, if you got 200 euros patrol allowance how much would would go to the levy

        It depend on what pay bracket the PDA puts you into depending on rank.. its not specific figure but you could reckon on loosing 10% of anything of what you earn..the more you earn, the more you loose.

        This time last year you lost say 30 percent of a days overtime to tax in the public sector, currently depending on your weekly earnings, the loss can equate to 75% pf the same figure. Its not as clear cut as what has the allowance gone down by, its reflective of the individuals pay as opposed to the advertised pay for the post
