                it is with sadness that the Ministry of Defence must announce that a Royal Marine from 40 Commando Royal Marines, serving as part of Combined Force Sangin, was killed in Afghanistan yesterday, Thursday 8 July 2010.

                The Marine was killed in an explosion while on a foot patrol in the Sangin district of Helmand province.
                "The Question is not: how far you will take this? The Question is do you possess the constitution to go as far as is needed?"

                    Royal Marine killed in Afghanistan


                    It is with sadness that the Ministry of Defence must announce that a marine from 40 Commando Royal Marines was killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday 13 July 2010.
                    "The Question is not: how far you will take this? The Question is do you possess the constitution to go as far as is needed?"

                      Marine David Charles Hart from Charlie Company, 40 Commando Royal Marines was killed in Afghanistan on Thursday 8 July 2010.



                      a tough tour for 40 Commando indeed.

                      a total of 4 British Soldiers killed today in Afghan.

                        RIP Marine.

                        another Royal Marine was also killed today (Saturday 17 Jul 10) aswell as 2 x British Soldiers and 1 x RAF Airman.
