  • Officer Cadets

230 Officer Cadets from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst have just completed a ten-day military training exercise in the Galloway Forest Park with American Officer Cadets from West Point Military Academy.

British Officer Cadet Jamie Thomas applies emergency first aid to an American colleague during Exercise Dynamic Victory:

The exercise marked the end of a year's intensive training for the British cadets and was the final test before they go on to receive officer commissions into the British Army.

it's good to see this kind of co-operation and cross training at this level for officer Cadets even before they become fully fledged officers leading troops for real on operations together in the future.

awesome phot. those two boys are from my platoon- good lads!. Training is focused primarily on counter-insurgency towards the end of the course: focusing on THE war and not so much on A war anymore.

yeah it's a good phot of a great initiative in joint training leading to joint operations.

well done if you are one of the British Officer Cadets concerned.
