Almost 300 members of the Defence Forces will take part in the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony in Dublin tomorrow.
The Defence Forces involvement will include a Motorcycle Escort of Honour, a Guard of Honour, a 21 Gun Salute, an Air Corp Fly Past and the Combined Bands of the Defence Forces.
Article 13.4 of the 1937 Constitution of Ireland provides that “The supreme command of the Defence Forces is hereby vested in the President.”
