a damn fine Medic, I take the liberty of copying a tribute to him here:-

From Dom McCarth - Marty a true Medic When my daughter was just three, she spilled the boiling teapot on her lap I was rushing to the local hospital, but could'nt get through traffic in Athlone. As I was passing the barracks I chanced the medical post , Marty was a true pro with his treatment. Thank you Marty. . . . . We've often discussed the comments made by the Surgeon about the professionalism of the medic who saved my daughters leg................... God bless you Marty Lohan Rest in Peace friend.
