An Irish Air Corps pilot has died in a place crash in County Offaly. His light aircraft came down shortly after take off from the airfield at Clonbulloge. The man who was in his early twenties was the sole occupant of the four-seater Cessna. The Irish Parachute Club runs an airfield near the village which is often used for training by the Aer Corps.
