The 1st Df off road competition was held in Kilworth today with a reasonable attendance.

The individual event was won by...wait for it

Trooper Brian Landers 31 reserve Cav

Notably he was also the only RDF competitior......and it was open to all in the DF who hold a realative AF154.

Well done Brian...now if you thought off road biking was for the faint hearted forget it...great day ....congrats to all involved..plenty of photos.... to be posted in the near future.

the other winning teams etc will be posted as they are confirmed.

An Interesting point made at the event was that though all but one of the participants(Engineer) were from a Cavalry unit, it was open to all Corps that had Dispatch Riders on their establishment.
That would include CIS, Military police,S&T and the ARW. The latter two could not attend due to operational commitments.

This Month's Cosantoir(February) has a Cover Photo and article inside about the competition, and the use of Motorcycles in the DR role.

Also a couple of articles on the Reserve (1st RDF YO Course, 4 W Bde exercise in
Kilworth in November).

Any board members feature???

I did see another board member elsewhere in the magazine...
