  • Firefighting - Air Corps helis

With the current spate of wildfires in the Wicklow mountains and throughout the UK, I was wondering if the AC has ever been invloved in firefighting missions.

Does the AC posess "bambie buckets" for use with their helis ?

If so, have they ever been in use fighting fires ?

I saw a Bell 206B in the times, Celtic and almost every other Irish civili operator uses that type, wonder if they could be picked up as interim Gazelle replacements

Why dont we replace the SF260 with a chipmunk while we are at it? And as I dont really like the DPMs ,why not replace them with Bullswool?

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

"interim" besides they're about the same age as the Gazelles
