Okay this is probably going to get me into more trouble ...but what the hell.
Last evening I was going to the range to practise for next weekends event....when wait for it......Iwas stopped at the gate by a private who informed me that i could not enter the barracks until I had been positively identified by a PDF member of my own unit.
I have paraded in the same barracks for the past twelve years. on enquiring I was informed that the barrack adujant had issued and a directive that all FCA personnel were to be subject to this ruling...the private on the gate enforced the directive with some vigour.
To make matters worse a mate of mine who had served with this enthusiastc enforcer...as a recruit and had given twelve years stationed in the same barracks was also subject to the same ruling as was a certain captain who carries out regular security duties in the same barrcks.
As no official form of identification is available all members of the DF will now have to wait at the gate to be positively identified......
It gets worse ...a serjeant who has twenty three years service and has two brothers serving in the same company as this guy was also stopped.
okay so the guy was only obeying orders but surely the guy could use his discression.....what ****ing muppet came up with the directive?
I know who it was and am sorely tempted to print the idiots name.......
we have hit an all time low especially as the directive is aimed soley at RDF personel....the guy who delivers the bread in the morning is not subjected to this shit.
I have given fifteen years service in the DF and have never been so humiliated...the RDFRA have been informed...but to what end.
Ifeel that this needed to be posted to highlight the discrimation that still exists against the RDF.
this has to be the most blatant form of ****ology that I have ever encountered in the whole of my expierience with the DF.
Thoughts!!!!
