    PLEASE NOTE ANY AND ALL COMPLAINTS MUST FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE

    It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged Defamation etc. This page describes the information that should be present in these notices.

    Under the forums rules the Admins, Moderators and owners of Irish Military Online cannot be held responsible for comments made on this forum. Our response to these notices may include, removing or disabling access to material claimed to be defamatory and/or terminating subscribers. If we remove or disable access in response to such a notice, we will make a good-faith attempt to contact the owner or administrator of the affected comment or content so that they may make a counter notification. We may also document notices of alleged infringement on which we act.

    If you feel you have been defamed by any post or have issues with any post then you may submit a notification by providing us with the following information:


    (i) Identification of the post claimed to have been defamatory (click on the icon)

    (ii) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material;

    (iii) Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, an electronic mail;

    Please note: that notices sent direct to us or our hosting agents by personal letter, solicitors letter or email will not be entertained if they have not followed the procedures outlined below in the first instance.


    In some instances and where feasible one may supply a counter-notification as indicated on the form below. The original poster of the alleged comments may make a counter notification. When we receive a counter notification, we may reinstate the material in question.

    Here is the procedure you MUST use:

    1. Identify in sufficient detail the post that you believe has defamed or other wise upset you. This MUST be done by clicking on the icon under each post, reciept of a solicitors letter or indeed any other form of communication will have the communication returned and a link to this thread included.

    2. Identify the material that you claim is infringing your rights listed in item Home above.

    3. Provide information reasonably sufficient to permit Irishmilitaryonline to contact you (email address is preferred).

    4. Provide information, if possible, sufficient to permit Irishmilitaryonline to notify the owner/administrator of the allegedly infringing comment or other content (email address is preferred).


    Counter Notification

    The original poster of a reported post may make a counter notification. When we receive a counter notification, we may reinstate the material in question.

    To file a counter notification with us, you must provide a written communication (by email) that sets forth the items specified below. Please note that you will be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) if you materially misrepresent the comments or activity is not infringing the rights of others. Accordingly, if you are not sure whether certain material infringes the rights of others, we suggest that you first contact a solicitor.

    To expedite our ability to process your counter notification, please use the following format (including section numbers):

    1. Identify the specific URLs or other unique identifying information of material that Irishmilitaryonline has removed or to which Irishmilitaryonline has disabled access.

    2. Provide your name, address, telephone number, email address, and a statement that you absolve Irishmilitaryonline.com, its owners, administrators and moderators of any blame or liability for your comments.

    3. Send the written communication to the following address:

    webmaster@irishmilitaryonline.com

    Account Termination

    Irishmilitaryonline will in appropriate circumstances, terminate repeat infringers. If you believe that an account holder or subscriber is a repeat infringer, please follow the instructions above to contact Irishmilitaryonline and provide information sufficient for us to verify that the account holder or subscriber is a repeat infringer.
