The SA 365Fi was unique to Ireland ..hence the 'i'.

There were other users of the SA 365F but the aviaocis fit which were the heart of the problem were unique to us.

Originally it had been planned to use the Lynx but when the AC opted for the dauphin the plans changed somewhat. There were drawings on the tween decks showning drawings of the lynx in situ.. just never happened.

The Saudis also use the 365F. Though they fitted theirs with a different Radar and Anti Ship missiles.

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

Button up...just defied the one of the methods of identifing a Senior rate as oposed to an officer.

Would laners like to tell how he ended up with the wrong amount of buttons for his rank?

Now now Moggie, We were the original crew! We were on board as soon as the keel was laid. And I remember Mick Martin writing his name on the bulkhead before the interior walls went up. So, all will be revealed when she goes to the breaker yard. Yes we were there for a year or so before the full compliment came.

Well I may not have been there for a year before hand , more like 3 or 4 months before as I was signed on with the shipyard as a member of the shipyard crew as well . There was even a big sign on book with the ships yard number , skippers name and your pay rate etc .
