More Foreign Visitors to Cork this weekend. The German Schnellboot squadron are making a return, along with their support ship FGS Werra. The Visiting Gepard class are
S76 Frittchen, S73 Hermelin, S72 Puma, S75 Zobel, S80 Hyane, S79 Wiesel, and all should be arriving on Friday Morning. Could be the last time you get to see these type. 2 others have already been decommissioned, and they are to be replaced in their role by larger Corvette type ships.

    Taken yesterday.
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

    • USS Anzio arrives in Cobh tomorrow, there for the Long weekend. Usual 50M exclusion order applies.

hopefully causes mick and clare to each have aneurisms and their tiny brains explode.
"He is an enemy officer taken in battle and entitled to fair treatment."
"No, sir. He's a sergeant, and they don't deserve no respect at all, sir. I should know. They're cunning and artful, if they're any good. I wouldn't mind if he was an officer, sir. But sergeants are clever."

          Not to mention Richard Boyd-Bas£"&d:

          193. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Defence if he will verify that Irish territorial waters are not being used by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation for any operations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16365/15] (From Kieran Marum's thread)

Compare with his deafining silence on Russian operations in our controlled airspace.

However since his new cause celebre is keeping Dun Laoghaire harbour safe for the yacht clubs he can't be all bad !!!!!!

              • Big difference between transiting and operating in (depending on how you define it).

If only Deputy Barrett would back a €50 million annual increase in the Defence budget, there might be a chance of answering that question definitively.

Y'know, verifying that our neutrality is being respected and all that, would require an investment in electric sensors & other equipment.

                  (I know, I know..)
