          • Was this vessel in Ireland in support of Odyssey Marine?

Around the same time I seen the Odyssey Explorer on AIS 'running lines' about 30nm of the SW coast.

            • Actually a quick Google shows they are prob looking for the SS Gairsoppa, sank 300nm SW of Galway bay in WW2 with 7,000,000 ounces of silver on board. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Gairsoppa

Project is being carried out in conjunction with British Government and is utilising this vessel.

Didn't they have some difficulty with the Spanish Authorities some years ago for allegedly plundering gold coins from a sunken 18th century warship?

Today FM reporting up to €300m worth of silver has been discovered off the kerry coast. I believe this ship, and another similar vessel was involved in the search.

I wonder who does it belong to?
