  • In Memorium. 1980 Lebanon.

    Dear Forum Members,

28 Years Ago this weekend saw the start of the Battle of At Tiri.

In the battle one Irish soldier, + Private S. Griffen +,

    and 1 Fijian soldier + Private S. Sonanavaluwere +

    to loose their lives.

Shortly after this an Irish re-supply convoy to the Irish positions in the "Enclave" was

hijacked, the Irish troops disarmed and made captive,

two of the Irish being subsequently murdered in Cold-Blood:

Privates: +Tom Barrett and Derek Smallhorne. +

    May they Rest In Peace.

Comrades Gone To Their Eternal Reward And Not Forgotten.
