It might be useful to keep track of your body fat %. I have a feeling the 2 lb gain would be a gain in muscle mass.
    thanks odin

Putting together possible teams for Commmando Speed March 2010.

Doing a check point fitness test every week to see who's putting in the effort.

Last week was the first - 11km in 61min in PT gear, no weight.
When is the Speed March usually on?

I may suggest it to the Coy in work about getting a team together for it.

              Heres the route topo section.

              • Thanks for that mate.

That looks like a lovely climb there in the middle of the course.

                • ya, no worries. That hill is a nice little practise for the actual race. You can tell straight after that hill who's been putting in the trg or whos been eating too many ben and jerry's

                  • Zulu, is there an official site for the CSM?

I keep ending up on sites for a march done by re-enactors in April

                        • im assuming the CSM has to be done in an hour? hence SPEED? feck...
I knew a simple soldier boy.....
Who grinned at life in empty joy,
Slept soundly through the lonesome dark,
And whistled early with the lark.

In winter trenches, cowed and glum,
With crumps and lice and lack of rum,
He put a bullet through his brain.
And no one spoke of him again.

You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

Well, try walking 7 miles on an undulating topographical route in boots and 16.5kg on your back and see how far you get in an hour.

oh no, please dont take that as an insult, the first part was a serious question, the SPEED part was me answering the first part partly and the feck part was me saying to myself, feck i better get training hard.
                              sorry!
