They also do Rank Marking etc.
Textile Print & Embroidery Ltd is a specialist supplier of personalised goods, workwear, sportswear and club leisurewear, supplying both the largest and smallest companies in the region.
It is not on their website but if you ring them up, they will sort it out for you. Ask for Barry or Ciaran.

On a serious note, don't bother with blood group tags, people. Nobody who issues blood or hooks it up to you will or should take a blind bit of notice of what it says on a nametag. Apart from anything else, how do they know it is your jacket? And as the risk of dying from being given a random bag of blood is 1 in 5 (and pretty much 100% if you are an incompatible blood group to the one you are given), the checks get done before transfusion.
If it is urgent and they have it to hand, they will give you a bag or two of O rh -ve, and an emergency crossmatch takes six minutes, IV Haemacel will buy you that much time. (I used to do it for a living, trust me!)'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.

Just get an ordinary name tag and scribble your blood type on the end of it.
Simples.
Besides section commander if he's doing his job will have your details on his section Orbat card.To close with and kill the enemy in all weather conditions, night and day and over any terrain

Keep up
Write blood type on your name tag, field dressing, helmet.
Any exercise I've ever done where theres a simulated casualty the DS always quizzes us on our battlefield first aid. One of the questions which always comes up is :
'What information do you have on the patient? Name, blood type, allergies. Best SOP I've seen on these in units is to write this information on the field dressing. Everyone has one and chances are if you're wounded field dressing will be the first bit of kit used and hey presto all the important info is written on it.
Although I think the British practice of Zip(Zap?) numbers is quite efficient. As I understand it someone gets hit, their zip number is radioed back to Ops and they have all the pertinent information at hand.To close with and kill the enemy in all weather conditions, night and day and over any terrain

I'm saying that blood will never be transfused (except for O -ve) without a crossmatch.
Anybody who does so is at best a negligent idiot who shouldn't be allowed any responsibility over and above deciding which bedpan to clean first, at worst someone who likes playing Russian Roulette.
Whatever you get asked / told to do by medics is immaterial.
Trust me, there is very little I claim to have been an expert on in my life, but Blood Transfusion is one thing I could. I can PM you my CV if you don't believe me!'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,

You never know if it will come in handy. Whats to say you'll be medevaced to a hospital with proper facilities?
What if its a triage situation and they don't have time to do a blood test?
The minutes saved figuring out your blood type could be used to save your life.
Doesn't take much to scribble O+ NKA on your field dressing/name tag/helmet but it could in some cases be the difference between life and death.
Just my two cents. To close with and kill the enemy in all weather conditions, night and day and over any terrain
