        Another Armidale Decommissioned.

Ships company of HMAS Glenelg said a fond farewell to the Armidale-class patrol boat in a decommissioning ceremony at HMAS Coonawarra, Darwin in the Northern Territory, on 6 October 2022 concluding the Royal Australian Navy ships 14 years of distinguished service. HMAS Glenelg and those who have served on the patrol boat have made a significant contribution to Australia’s national interests, protecting the country’s borders and offshore maritime interests as part of Operation Resolute. Operating alongside Border Force, Australian Fisheries and the Australian Federal Police, HMAS Glenelg has protected Australia against unauthorised entry, breaches of customs, upholding immigration and drugs legislation and other illegal activity. Named after the South Australian town, Glenelg is the fourth Armidale Class Patrol Boat to be decommissioned.
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.
