        • We wear blue berets because it is a UN mission, it also enforces the fact that every other blue beret wearer is our comrade
          Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
          Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
          The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
          The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
          The best lack all conviction, while the worst
          Are full of passionate intensity.

          • Yes I understand why they wear the Blue Beret it just that the black beret and of course the glengarry look more Irish and less i am a target like.

                    I dont know whats said in the video but the title translated is "UNIFIL mission - International cooperation"
                    The video description says, "Finns are valuable to learn the local conditions within Ireland. Acting as a part of the Irish-Finnish Battalion is a challenge, but well begun cooperation to facilitate the crucial issues. Battalion are well trained and professional set of unit that is able to achieve its mandate."

                        The original plan was for a joint Irish-Finnish Battalion from the start. The first Finnish contingent was to arrive six months ago but that never happened. It is not know yet what the make up of the next battalion after the 106 Bn will be but the Finn's could make up the bulk of the Battalion with just an Irish Infantry Group.

                          Interesting loading concept. I have not seen that done before.

                          Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

                          • Reports of RPG fire in Beirut on Twitter in the aftermath of this:

                            Beirut: Lebanon fell into further turmoil yesterday when army troops shot dead a Sunni cleric when his convoy failed to stop at a checkpoint in north Lebanon. Shaikh Ahmad Abdul Wahid, a supporter of the anti-regime uprising in neighbouring Syria, and his companion, Shaikh Mohammad Hussain Murhib, were scheduled to participate in a rally which was cancelled.

                                This appears to be a bit out of date?
