        +1

Although it rarely gets reported its a common enough occurence.especially at low tide usually in the vicinity of a ship.

Public come along side , decide to have a look down and sometimes overbalance and 'splash' !

Bit of a giggle when you see the Bosun clear the guard rail with a leading hand without entirely knowing the reason...
Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe

happened a few times we used to put up red and white tape as a warning but the new navy are too advanced to think of that

In related news, An Taoiseach is returning to dublin via Grey Funnel line, after his visit to Haulbowline, as a familiarisation trip. Heres hoping for rough weather on the east coast.

Heard there was a request to airlift him off, think it may have been compassionate grounds due to his mothers death, but didnt go ahead due Wx.

This initiatve with overall M.E R .C scenario reflects an apparent new direction in NS strategy.Given that FP in time is a dead man walking the focus on participation in wealth production from the EEZ is both clever and correct. As more wealth is generated then there will be a greater need to protect the installations and infrastructure producing same hence greater resources for the NS as the sector will be as valuable to the economy comparable to foreign multis etc.Current Flag is well immersed in academia and has this one pretty well sussed out.Overall it is a good move and deserves every support.

Suprised at that. The Coastguard are usually very good at poor weather winching.

They were going to dublin anyway.

The Taoiseach was at a Fine Gael dinner in Dublin tonight so I dont think there was any airlift plan.
