An Cosantoir has kindly added a fold out on the Sniper weapons of the Irish Army...nice
But something doesn't sit right in regard to the FN Sniper Spotter weapon.
It gives the calibre as .338 as opposed to 7.62..while the weapons is titled as 7.62mm.
Typo perhaps?
It gives the range as being in excess of 1300m while AI.308 only has a range of 800m +
Another typo?
We were lead to believe that these weapons were/are reconditioned Irish Army weapons but the one featured has both the cocking handle and fire selector/Change lever on the right hand side of the body while the ones in service had these on the left hand side.
I thought of photographic reversal but this would not explain the bits being on the wrong side.
I can understand changes in the pistol grip, foregrip, butt etc, but I'm stumped at the cocking handle and change lever.
Any one any ideas?
