  • Will the Air Corps tender for it? Not sure if the PC12 are fitted to act as Air Ambulance. The Lear could be, but its days are clearly numbered.
    For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

    • Lot 2 Midlands and Lot 3 West/North West may be awarded when the current agreements expire and only if it value for money is achieved by the HSE/NAS.
      end of EAS then but when does it “expire”?

      what’s the arrangement in West/Northwest? Can’t be the NI air ambulance can it (based in Lisburn)?
      IRCG? The contract has only just been signed

      with the clinical crewing provided by NAS HEMS Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians.
      down grade from existing service then … not APs

      • Leave it to someone else, let the Air Corps concentrate on Green tasks. The days of them operating the only helicopters in the country are gone.
        'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
        'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
        Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
        He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.
