Air Corps Complete Time Critical Air Ambulance Mission to London
The Air Corps successfully completed the transfer of a priority one patient from Dublin to London, Heathrow on the CASA fixed wing Aircraft overnight in response to a request from the Health Service Executive Ambulance Control Centre.
The priority one patient was brought to Baldonnel under Garda escort from the mid west and departed Casement Aerodrome at 10.30pm last night and arrived in Heathrow at 1145pm.
The patient was brought to a waiting ambulance on arrival and transferred by road to hospital.
This is the Air Corps 20th Air Ambulance Mission of 2012.
The Air Corps maintains dedicated aircraft and crew on standy-by for the Air Ambulance transfer of patients within the State and internationally.

Irish Air Corps Complete Two Air Ambulance
The Irish Air Corps successfully completed two air ambulances overnight.
The first air ambulance involved the transfer of a patient and HSE team from Letterkenny General Hospital, Co. Donegal, to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital (OLCH), Crumlin.
The Agusta Westland 139 helicopter departed Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, with a HSE team at 6.00pm and routed to the Donegal Hospital where the patient was transferred into the care of the HSE team.
The helicopter then departed Letterkenny General Hospital at 9.10pm and, with the aid of night vision goggles, flew to the helicopter pad at OLCH Crumlin, landing at 10.30pm.
The patient was transferred into the care of the hospital staff and the helicopter departed for Baldonnel, arriving at 11.00pm.
The second air ambulance involved the transfer of a specialist HSE team from Baldonnel to Cork.
The Lear 45 fixed wing aircraft completed the mission at 6.10am when it landed safely back in Baldonnel.
This was 23nd Air Ambulance completed by the Air Corps this year.

Air Corps Lear jet completes Air Ambulance mission from Manchester
The Air Corps successfully completed the transfer of a patient from Manchester on the Air Corps Learjet this afternoon.
The Learjet departed Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, at 10:30am with a HSE team who traveled to a hospital in Manchester to meet with the patient.
The HSE team escorted the patient to the awaiting Learjet which departed Manchester Airport at 2.00pm, arriving at Casement Aerodrome at 3.15pm.
This is the Air Corps 25th Air Ambulance of 2012.

Air Corps jet Completes Air Ambulance to Poland
The Air Corps Learjet 45 completed its second air ambulance in 24 hours with the successful transfer of a patient to Poland this morning.
The fixed wing aircraft, callsign ‘Irish 258’, departed Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, with the patient at 10.10am and arrived in Gdansk, Poland, at 12.20pm.
The patient was transferred into the care of the Polish Health Service at the airport and is continuing their journey to hospital by road.
This is the 26th Air Ambulance completed by the Air Corps this year.
