I use to work in Dublin City centre in the 70s and can remember seeing Garda wearing a Cape with silver clasp across the front , when I enquired as to this form of dress I was told it was DMP ( Pearse Street ) , remember this was in the 70s . Plus it was only worn after dark .Don't spit in my Bouillabaisse .
