If you qualified for the old service medal within its lifespan, and were awarded same, then that's you
Anyone qualifying for same after 2011 gets the new one
Only difference as far as I know is the inscription has changed..."Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"

Thanks for trying the picture is just far to big to make out any detail, on your computer, open the picture, right click on the picture, open Microsoft Picture Manager, Click on Edit pictures, click on resize, Predefined width, click on "Web Large" option, you can also then click on percentage of original option to futher reduce if need be, then Save As, this should help with sizing issues.

Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.
