        • What is UKRN? Is Putin after the Scottish ports now too?

Whatever the outcome of the forthcoming plebiscite on Scottish independence at least one thing is for certain the royal navy will not just fade away into the mists of time like the forgotten mighty Austro-Hungarian navy.

              • Ant that bridge was behind schedule too....
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

                • Had a quick look at her this evening, a very nice business like ship.

Does it have bulkheads and watertight doors between sections like the Sigma OPV (apparently built in 7.2m sections and separated by bulkheads and watertight doors) and the MEKO OPV designs?

If not, would this preclude it, assuming a change in policy, from it being deployed on anti-piracy missions?

Was trying to ID the EO system a few weeks ago, this photo is the clearest of it so far:

                          Looks similar to these fellas:

MSI-Defence Systems (MSI-DS) has developed a new product line of long-range Surveillance Acquisition Targeting Optical Systems (SATOS) specifically engineered for the extremes of the naval operational environment. The SATOS base unit includes the latest generation high torque direct drive design, which provides the payload ability to integrate a wide range of high performance long-range Day Night All …

                          • Just saw RTE's report. Some kid in 6th Class in National School would have done a better job. Very poor reporting.

Agreed , it amounted to just giving the hours the ship was open to the public .

Are these just dry storage spots, or part of strengthening to prevent this happening again:
