what Air Corps pilots do on their days off...

    EI-FAD.jpgHi all,
A team of Air Corps pilots completed a homebuilt kit aircraft , an RV-7A, EI-FAD, flown for the first time today by Gerry Humphreys, himself an RV-7 pilot. the flight was successful and no major snags occurred. I was the supervising Inspector and several other individuals, both inside and outside Baldonnel gave valuable assistance and the end result is a beautiful aircraft. 200 hp, 160 knots, goes like sh1t off a shovel.

    regards

I'd imagine the dollar price would double to become euros to include the engine & costs of getting it over here.

Inter service banter. And some of us enjoy the immature frogs on this site. They keep it interesting and entertaining.

Schmigs, by the time you get it built, there wouldn't be much change out of 70-80 thousand euros, but you do get a very capable aircraft.Good second-hand ones would sell for about 50-60 thousand and they are very popular....the aircraft is at Kilrush.

The paint scheme was modelled off one of his Friesian cows, even down to a white-on-black spot on one wing. it's a very distinctive looking scheme. I've flown in it quite a few times with him. Tremendous pilot and a gent!

A Dell box? Blasphemy! The Friesian pattern was from one of Dell's demised competition.

well, I guarantee Gerry's aircraft's paint scheme is based on a cow of his and not a bloody box;-)
