  • Army (Ford) Ranger!

Saw a Ford Ranger pickup with a hard canopy on the back & the aerial mounts on the front in Dublin today, anyone know what the craic with them is?

Don't the ranger wing use black ones?

And there was a Green one in CBB the other night. I think it was military police.

And there was a camo/dpm coloured one knocking around a while ago.

One of the lads was saying recently that they were being looked at as replacement for the Pajeros

It was OD. It wasn't one of the wing's F350's, it was a Ranger.

MP Coy in DFTC definitely has a Ford hardtop. Unsure of the model... Saw it there about 2 weeks ago

If it was an older vehicle it might be one of the old FACE cars (field artillery computing equipment). They don't have FACE in them any more, so they're used as a general runaround and sometimes as an arty CP.

Its the command car for the Ministry of Silly walks inspection team, they received an anonymous report that the Arty we're being un-silly.

I'm familiar with the vehicles you are referring to and its highly unlikely these would be mistaken for a Ford Ranger in fairness. Plus, both of the old FACE cars have been sent to FACE car heaven AKAIK.

Ive seen one of these Fords in the Curragh a few weeks ago. Was being driven by PA's but didn't have any Military Police markings or blue lights.
