The Missus (Who is a seamstress crafty type) says his tunic doesn't fit him properly, and the white belt is wrong. The hat would work better if she had short hair. Also the buttens need to be changed so they are all above the belt. The one below looks wrong.

FCUKING HIDEOUS !
the female thing is a disaster altogether! No saving aspects what so ever.
The Male, get rid of the belt, emulate the bandoliers worn by those in 1916 with a sash type affair, no belt...are and will always be a disaster! Look at any GOH to see how shite the belts look.
Get rid of the pockets.Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe

It seems to be getting positive views from the roadshow. There were a few different options and changes are being made based on some of the comments. The photographs don't do the uniform justice, the piping detail isn't coming out. If you get a chance to see the uniform up close you should go.

Any idea if this will be forces wide issued before 2016 parade and if so will that include RDF?
Not crazy about the white belt, always thought it looked a bit shite. maybe the material its made from too doesnt work well."He is an enemy officer taken in battle and entitled to fair treatment."
"No, sir. He's a sergeant, and they don't deserve no respect at all, sir. I should know. They're cunning and artful, if they're any good. I wouldn't mind if he was an officer, sir. But sergeants are clever."

And no one spoke of him again.

Always one who will bite
The uniforms pictured are just prototypes not issued to either of the soldiers wearing them so are not tailored to fit.
As said they have no medals, collar dogs, nametag or lanyard and the flashes and ranks are not on correctly.
The material is a better quality and the piping improves the look as does the double vent on the back of the male tunic.
Getting rid of the tie is something the majority of us who wear the SD for more than one day a year really want. Not to mention the fact that you will now be able to wear a norwegain shirt underneath when it's baltic out!
As for the female uniform their is a trousers mooted also so no change from current sit there as females are issued both.I agree the female hat looks gank and is a massive waste of money as the females only recently got a peaked cap to replace the old "birds nest" hat."Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.
