It funny how BAe are very quick at building vessels the RN doesn't want but very slow at building ones they doFor now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

The three we didn't get went to the Phillipines in 1997. The RN would have liked to use them at home but never got the chance. Charlie got there first. I wait for the release of government papers that may reveal the secret behind the deal.Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe

Eithne due to go within a few years and and with her, the unique status so why now buy a ship with engines that will be twenty years old that we will no longer operate.
And you want to refit the fleet to achieve commonality with a second hand purchase?
If you were to buy multiple vessels it could be justified but not a singular unit.
Wouldn't be my choice if I were looking at a wish list given they have been heavily used given the shortage of hulls in the RNCovid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe
