  • Army Reserve Camp

Hi everyone. Due to attend my first camp during the summer for the reserves. Just wondering can anyone describe what it entails, location and is it 7 or 14 days long? Any help greatly appreciated.
I shot the Sherriff, but I didn't shoot the Deputy.

MOD: Just to remind people that the location(s) would be considered operational information and should not be disclosed. Feel free to discuss the broad outline of what the recruit training will involve.

refer to your joining instructions it will tell you 7 or 14 days
Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.

Would one expect to fire rifles on first camp?

I assume it is a recruit course you refer to.

It should be 14 days (some units do 2 x 7 days).

You will do a bit of everything foot drill, arms drill, Steyr rifle (including firing), fieldcraft, tactical training etc etc.

Location will be what is available and what is booked
