Aren't some of the UK based ones also charity based?

Sure are - and they work very well but from a much larger population base. Was mooted here too in the early days but not sure how much traction it would get in the Republic at the moment!

as someone who knows nothing really about this why is the DF flying EAS when there is a bunch of big red and white hellcopters at every corner of the land ?
"Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

I dont think EAS is part of the CG contract as such.

              A&E closure in Roacommon?

They don't have to have APs on board

They can't lands in many places

the power of DF lobbying, really. No reason why a completely civvy organisation can't do it, of course.

IIRC those AWs and EC's were bought for Military work not EAS . Not taking away from the work

Seemingly all air ambo ops are to be concentrated and controlled by the NACC which intends to provided a 24/7 aeromediical service . According to the NAS the AC have done 54 such missions over the last 10 months with the CG doing 25. If a 24/7 centre is being set up and staffed separately from the existing NAS regional centers then it is fair to say that 24/7 ops are signed off on and that the CG,AC and unions are up for it.

that is some amount of trapeze artistry to get to those conclusions .... Why is the Department doing this or want to do ti given the IRCG fleet is sat there
