I don't like the look of that new fleece. Material looks way too stiff and what's with the yellow piping? We'll look like James Bond baddies. Also the hairy fella looks to be struggling in it and he's just sitting there. Can't imagine him in the field wearing it.I knew a simple soldier boy.....
Who grinned at life in empty joy,
Slept soundly through the lonesome dark,
And whistled early with the lark.
In winter trenches, cowed and glum,
With crumps and lice and lack of rum,
He put a bullet through his brain.
And no one spoke of him again.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

They are a bit-looking bunch. Best of luck to them.Last edited by Flamingo; 16 October 2018, 12:21.'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,

Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.
