F**king clown. He's proven himself and his staff to be just as disgustingly childish and bullying as the rest of the government."He is an enemy officer taken in battle and entitled to fair treatment."
"No, sir. He's a sergeant, and they don't deserve no respect at all, sir. I should know. They're cunning and artful, if they're any good. I wouldn't mind if he was an officer, sir. But sergeants are clever."

Unlesss we know the specifics regarding the weather locally and nationally it is hard to comment even if at first glance outright cancellation does seem a bit strange.
Regardless, any outside interference to continue is a big no-no and one only has to point to the crash involving the Polish Prime Minister as an example. If the decision has been made, move on to Plan B.

Its past time the Air Corps stopped fawning over ministers on the hope that the Govt Jet and its activity will keep them in the public eye.
It takes Just under 3 hours to drive from Dublin to Cork.
Train takes about the same. The Aircoach only costs €20 and travels on the hour. For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of flying ministers around, its not dangerous to fly an IFR equipped aircraft to an Airport and shoot an ILS approach and if needs be carry out a missed approach and divert to an Alternate. Thats the bread and butter of IFR aircraft and crews!

Another twist, this was a helicopter not fixed wing. While EICK is perennially fogged, the city is not.

Now if that wasn't the case....

And the "very important meeting in Cork" was in fact to open a new extension of a factory in his constituency. Another Mary Harney.

Obviously the minister never came across the old adage of
'Better to be down here wishing you were up there rather than being up there wishing you were down here'
Given the latest from the AC on the matter..I wonder.....Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe
