    Didn't the defence agreement say we could pick up anything going surplus for free?

    On the other side, how much more can they flog off from the UK military?

    a lot of the stuff is from UOR's that either didn't make it into core, or were superceded by other UOR's or core, were going to be got rid of anyway but they are going sooner than planned (the Lynx 9's are two years ahead of POOSD) or are being got rid off because they are a bit 'Afghan-centric', or simply because while we might want to keep them, we want to keep other things more.
