  • Interesting British Concept of AFVs

A proposal from Anglo Engineering Concepts to meet British Army vehicle capability gaps and drive down support costs by adopting system engineering thinking

Nice drawings, but I get the impression that is a one man band, old retired engineer trying to keep his hand in.

This morning the Americans launched their mobile protected firepower programme which will see a 105mm light tank deployed around 2021, and will be available for export.

Another programme to watch is the French jaguar, Belgium have ordered 60 to replace their pandurs. Given that cmi the turret manufacturer are Belgian expect to see a 105mm version appearing around the same time.

One of those vehicles looks very like a Sacaren done in CAD

indeed, imho there is a need for a tracked vehicle around 18 tonnes armed with a gun of 50-60mm in calibre for support of light infantry, or a 21st century scorpion. And indeed tradec have a load of videos on YouTube about exactly this topic.
