  • Lt.Cdr Jim Corrigan (rtd) aka Stoker

    It is with deep regret that I report one of our own ' Stoker' , Lt Cdr Jim Corrigan, passed the bar on November 2nd 2017.

    Jim messaged me in October or so offering me a model to finish of a corvette but sadly never got back to me . He had let me know that he was on his last watch but I didn't realise how close the end of that watch was.

    RIP Jim, always one of the good ones.

      Will be greatly missed here. He was one of the few who "walked the walk" in Naval Matters, working as a Marine Engineer for many years during his time and after departing ASM. Had the pleasure of meeting him many years ago and he had some great stories to tell.
      May he rest in peace.

      For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

        "He is an enemy officer taken in battle and entitled to fair treatment."
        "No, sir. He's a sergeant, and they don't deserve no respect at all, sir. I should know. They're cunning and artful, if they're any good. I wouldn't mind if he was an officer, sir. But sergeants are clever."

          'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
          'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
          Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
          He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.
