The rubber track stuff is interesting but clearly the writer had never heard of the M3 half track and has never been on a building site in his life. The M3 had a rubber track in WW 2, so the technology is not new and is not unproven. It was developed from coalmine conveyer belts and if a conveyer belt survives that, it will survive anything. As for building sites, rubber tracked vehicles have been in service for decades, such as the Komatsu sideloader and Caterpillar tracked diggers with rubber track. Bits of old track also makes very good supplementary armour.
