British officer: You're seven minutes late, Mr. Collins.
Michael Collins: You've kept us waiting 700 years. You can have your seven minutes.

Michael Collins: So that's what all the bother was about.

    I got this by email...
WHAT IT TAKES TO FEED AN ARMY
    04/05/2006 13:52

AN army is said to march on its stomach, but judging by their daily food
requirements, Irish soldiers are doing their best to live on bread alone.

The Irish military munches its way through a staggering 6,500kg of bread
each week - which is good news for bakers trying to get their hands on this
lucrative supply contract, currently up for grabs.

The intake includes a weekly helping of 5,500kg of white bread, 600kg of
brown bread, 350kg of soda bread, 12kg of burger buns, 10kg of hot dog
rolls and 15kg of French bread sticks.

The soldiers are also heavy milk drinkers, gulping back 9,000 litres of
fresh milk, 200 litres of fresh cream and 400kg of yoghurt every single
week, according to the Army's tender for supplies advertised on
    www.etenders.gov.ie

no it means a completey new radio system i'd say, as sincgars operate on VHF not wideband.

This means a completely new radio system, which is specifically designed for data communications (not voice).

VHF ranges fom 30 - 300 MHz, different services (eg maritime, air, etc) have been assigned sections of this. SINCGARS can operate over the complete military VHF band.
