Fortunately/unfortunately I don’t work in NSHQ, DFHQ, DoD, Department of Finance/Public Expenditure or sit at Cabinet

If only there was an entire thread about this very topic.....
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

      • How long would the Shaw be expected to take on trials? I honestly can't remember how long the others took.

        • Rarely more than 5 days, then teturn to drop off shipyard workers, and straight home.

          • Vessel exceeded 25 knots during trials today. All appears to be going as planned.

She will go back alongside Appledore after these ones.

                    Delivery early August id imagine

                    • Or you could just 'pressgang' the dock yard workers and sail home ......to offset recruiting shortages.

From the photos another fine looking vessel even without her turret up front.

                        • According to ais, p64 reached speeds of 38.5 knots yesterday pm during short burst high speed trials?? 28.5 i could believe as p62 achieved near enough that when her vibration problems were sorted out.

That seems "unlikely", it's well beyond her design speed isn't it?

                            • I'm putting it down to either an error on AIS or else you are looking at the track of one of her Rhibs, which seem to be hovering around Ilfracombe. (P64A MMSI 111111642).

George Bernard Shaw is MMSI 250004884 and is doing laps of Lundy.
