And no doubt will be taking in the Ryder Cup while here

No doubt will make for some good pictures though

Sunday is a day of rest for those in Mon-Fri jobs, when I last checked...

HMS severn was in at city quay all weekend
"Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

Stupid question time...why is the "Norge" flying the Irish flag?
"Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here...this is the War Room!"

Visiting ships always fly the flag of the Country they are visiting from the Highest mast when in that countries Port. Their own flag is flown from the Stern.

Catch-22 says they have a right to do anything we can't stop them from doing.

Now time for my question: when a foreign naval vessel docks in an Irish port, is there any kind of etiquette for the Irish navy to follow, i.e. greeting them or are the visitors more or less left to their own devices and treated as basically a civilian visitor?

Also, this River class PV has been a very frequent visitor to Dublin over the last few years, it'll be interesting to see if it is evaluated by the NS. The lease method used by the royal navy to get them might make the seperate, outright purchase of a blue/green vessel an easier proposition for the department of finance to take.
