  • Declan O' Rourke, RSM 1FAR (retd)

    RSM Declan O' Rourke, passed away yesterday in Cork.

    Deccy was a true gentleman, as anyone who knew him or worked with him will attest to. The entire Artillery Corps mourns his passing. He was very well known and well liked around his adopted hometown of Ballincollig and he will be sorely missed there.

    Sincere condolences to his family.

      Met him once briefly, seemed like a nice man. RIP.
      I probably am wrong, sorry about that!!!

      Please PM me to correct me.

      But, not if I state an opinion, only if I state something as truth!!!

      I have bad opinions but I stick by them!!!

          COndolonces to his family and freinds and

          my sympathy to the Artillery Corp on the loss of a fine man
          Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
          Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
          The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
          The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
          The best lack all conviction, while the worst
          Are full of passionate intensity.

                  I went into an Italian restaurant and ordered dessert and they gave me tiramisu and a blindfolded horse and I said No, I said mask a pony (mascarpone)

                      Was wondering why the name sounded familiar. Then I twigged it.... his
