"A third Royal Thai Army helicopter has crashed in the same area in the west of the country in a little over a week, local news outlets have reported.
This crash happened recovering casualties from the second helicopter which crashed recovering casualties from the first crash.
According to the reports, a Bell 212 'Huey' came down in Phetchaburi province, near the Burmese border, on 24 July while supporting ongoing efforts to recover the bodies of those killed in two previous crashes in the same vicinity over the previous few days.
Three of those on board the Huey were said to have been killed, while a fourth was seriously injured.
The Bell 212 had been dispatched to Phetchaburi province to recover the bodies of nine personnel killed when a Sikorsky S-70/UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter belonging to the army crashed on 19 July while attempting to recover those killed in an accident the previous weekend.
On that occasion, a Bell 212 reportedly crashed in bad weather with the loss of all five on board. In all, some 15 army personnel and two media representatives travelling on board the helicopters have died as a result of the three accidents."
