    Based on something F. Malloy said:
    The Cessana replacement, does it have to be a fixed wing, is there anything in it's required functions that prevents it's replacement by more helicopters?
    Perhaps it wuld make economic sense to replace the Cessanas with [say] 3-4 more of whatever light helicopter 'they' are thinking about.

    The special report on the Air Corps (part of the overall review) stated that there should be an increase ratio of helicopters to fixed wing aircraft.

    However helicopters are generally more time consuming & expensive to maintain, have a higher cost per unit, and have a more limited range/endurance
