  • Tax on overseas earnings

Hi, can anyone tell me the story with tax on overseas allowance? I know tax is paid on ordinary salaries, but are you taxed on the allowance?

they won't let Enlisted men stay overseas for 12 months continuous because then you'd be entitled to claim your tax you paid for the previous 12 months..

                      Hi there
So are the lads in Liberia paying tax? they're in a shithole at the State's bidding and they pay tax? Christ!!
For civvies, stay outside the EU or those countries that have double-taxation agreements with Ireland for more than 183 days per year and you are effectively out of the tax net.Until you retire and they notice the hole in your taxpaying record for pension purposes...
                      regards
