Comdt Des Coleman was honoured today by members of the 54 Reserve Artillery Regiment consisting of Reserves and Cadre and a member of the 4 FAR in which Des would have originally joined, made up his bearer party. Present were former Regimental Commanders under which Des had served and Gunners from Mullingar and Tuam were also present as were members of other units throughout the Army. RDFRA National Executive was present in large numbers as were members of the Mullingar Branch of ONET which Des had joined since he retired from the Reserve Defence Forces.
He will be sadly missed as an advisor and a friend but he will not be forgotten by those who served with him in all the organisations he was involved in.
Good bye friend.
