200 members of 102 Battalion will deploy to Chad on Monday 25 January 2010. The deployment represents the first phase of a scheduled rotation with the 101 Battalion. The remainder of the 400 strong Battalion will deploy on 08 February 2010. Commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Mick Murray, the 102 Battalion deploys following months of preparatory training which concluded with the Ministerial Review in Dundalk on Tuesday 12 Jan 2010.
