Can't be the Mowag, that would be too confusing: what would it be known as? Mowag Lite? Mowag Junior? Baby Mowag?
AFAIK, Mowag won the last big contest with Iveco - Germany - so you would expect the competition to come back leaner and meaner and more determined than before, i.e. offering a better deal. Mowag on the other hand could be complacent, thinking that the DF is their patch and depending on those cosy relationships? At least the Iveco LMV offer should be a lot cheaper than the price the British Army had to pay, since we're not trying to prop up the national AFV maker.
The RG32M is a bit of a dark horse. Is it just there to make up the numbers, with the real contest between the Iveco and the Mowag? Are there any other serious users, apart from the South Africans - who make it - and the Swedes - who had to buy them in return for the South Africans buying Gripens? Maybe it's a lot cheaper than the other two? There are a couple of videos on Youtube and the one thing that stands out is the noise it makes.
