DOH!!Made a blunder there, was looking at another image and trying to compare them, but got tunnel vision and posted about the wrong one!! Picture I was looking at had no fume extractor on the end of the barrel, which is of course an obvious feature of the T 54.
Which means :it's the T55, because it does indeed have a fume extractor.
Is it because the AA mount is on the commanders side, 'cos it's on the loaders station on a T-55?
Has a cupola/hatch more than a T55. Am I getting close??
Apparently one of their AMLs suffered an incident, the chassis was irreperable. So they shoved the turret onto a BTR-60. Probably has very good mobility.
For the sake of clues, the primary giveaway is on the turret roof, the secondary one (Which works for all but pre-production T-55s) is on the hull front.
Bingo. The mushroom shaped ventilator on the front right of the turret roof. Only way to tell for sure between a 54 and a 55. The hole in the front slope for a fixed MG was removed on production T-55s
