Would the purchase of these for the Cavalry Corps have freed up the CRV for use by the Infantry Corps thereby reliving the current shortage of Mowags! Would have gotten the fleet to there out of service date while deciding on the replacement.

Among the differences are a different engine (CAT -v- MTU)
CRV & MRV aren’t suitable for infantry … too few dismounts
Seen as a lot of the CRV started life as infantry I’d imagine they can be modified back to 8 troop seats
Just nine CRV were modified. MRV never had the full compliment of seats to begin with. Are you talking about undoing a costly conversion of an armoured vehicle just so we'd have a few more 20 year old APCs?
Do you work for the DoD by any chance?
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.
“A Brigade Reconnaissance Squadrons Group currently has 3 Recon Squadrons (this) and a Heavy Armour Squadron, which has platoons with 4 Centauros.”
So....we reinstate 4CAV, and make them Recce Squadrons along with 1CAV and 2CAV and have 1ACS as a Heavy Armour Squadron, sounds like a step in the right direction to me!
What are you cackling at, fatty? Too much pie, that's your problem.
France are replacing the Renault VAB with the Serval. (4x4 version of the Griffon)
The Army has a new armored vehicle: the Serval. It replaces the VABs, which have been in service for over 40 years. As war returns to the European continent, the credibility of the French armies depends on modern equipment.
“B Sqn have now completed their Mission Specific Training for Op NEWCOME 4 in Mali. They are now ready to deploy this month with @RIrishRegiment as part of the Long Range Reconnaissance Group, the UK’s contribution to @UN_MINUSMA. Follow along to see their progress. 1/2”
